Love Triangle and Midlife Crisis

Love triangle and midlife crisis can be connected as well. In fact, midlife crisis suggests the 'crisised' person being very prone to sticking to extremes which in the long run bring him or her nothing healthy, helpful or useful.
Let's imagine the situation. Mark and Mary is a married couple, the two of them is a stable one because they understand and trust each other. However, Mark, who is 45 recently started going through a very difficult period in his life – midlife crisis. As we all know, this type of personality crisis is the worst regarding its character and consequences.
One of the consequences of Mark's midlife crisis is 23 year old Charlene who he recently started cheating on his wife with. Mark can afford Charlene for he has money to burn which turns Charlene on greatly. Mark's young lover inspires him and encourages him to feel much younger than he is – just what he needs now that he's experiencing such a difficult period in his life.
Mary is all confused. She can guess Mark is having an affair with someone else but she is too afraid to talk to him about it because she knows it may equal losing him forever and for always.
She may save the situation or break up with him i.e. demand a divorce, in any case, she has to break the sinful lines of their love triangle and show her cowardly unfaithful husband that there are situations less pleasant even than his midlife depression.
